A few facts about our company……….
Got Real Estate, LLC officially opened for business in the Oconee and Pickens County areas of South Carolina in mid-2008 by local owners, Julie Gifford and Sharalyn Kluke. Mrs. Gifford is the Owner/Broker-in-Charge and Mrs. Kluke is co-Owner and Accredited Buyer Representative. Both professionals came from years of experience with large, franchise-type Real Estate companies. They noted many Sellers were in a “negative equity” situation for various reasons: they paid too much for the property, re-financed their property without re-investing in improvements, or had not held the property long enough to realize equity. Because Mrs. Gifford and Mrs. Kluke belonged to companies with mandated policies and procedures-- their hands were “tied” as to better assisting Sellers in reverse equity situations. These Professionals recognized a need to change the traditional Real Estate business model as a result of the changing economy. Thus was born the Full Service/One Listing Price* business: Got Real Estate, LLC.
One misconception about this type of business model is that a Seller would only receive a few services for their one listing price, but this is not the case with Got Real Estate. All the vital marketing services are provided **-- and the truth of the matter is once a property reaches a certain price bracket, it does not cost anymore to market it than one of a significantly higher price bracket.
Another misconception is that other Real Estate companies wouldn’t show Got Real Estate’s listings because they view a different business model as a “threat” to their business. But this just simply is not the case because the Seller still pays a competitive percentage to the Buyer's Agents. Most agents are in the same economic position; if they have a qualified, able-Buyer then they are more than willing to earn their commission showing Got Real Estate’s (and other company’s) properties. Professional Agents are more than willing to work with other “seasoned” Professionals in this business.
